The development blog serves a simple purpuse: It shall describe the individual steps taken while developing schemas, profiles, and information models for citizen observatories. The development process will be based on a number of standards, such as SensorML, *FL, O&M, JSON-LD.

22 Jun 2015: Collection of basic requirements & basic research

I started with some reading on how the biodiversity community models sampling of organisms. The GBIF primer provides a good intro. Figured out that we should not care too much about the final product, but concentrate on developing a model for raw data. It will be converted into whatever format is required by the various communities, e.g. Darwin Core Archive.
